What is Mudita?

Mudita is an order and business management app built specifically for solo home bakers and home food businesses. It helps you manage orders, track payments, build your menu, and understand how your business is doing โ€” all from your phone.

Unlike generic tools, Mudita is designed around how custom food businesses actually work: deposit-first payments, weight-based pricing, delivery timing, and quick customer communication.

Who is Mudita for?

Mudita is built for independent food creators who take custom orders โ€” home bakers, cake makers, cottage food businesses, meal prep sellers, and anyone running a food business on their own. If you're juggling orders, payments, and customers from your phone, Mudita was made for you.

Is Mudita available on Android?

iOS is available now on the App Store. Android is coming soon โ€” join the waitlist on the homepage to be notified when it launches.

Do my customers need to download Mudita?

No. Mudita is for you, not your customers. Continue receiving orders however you do now โ€” DMs, texts, messages โ€” and manage everything inside Mudita. Customers receive invoices or updates from you directly.

Can I use Mudita on multiple devices?

Yes. With cloud sync enabled, your data is tied to your account and accessible across devices. If you prefer local-only mode, data stays on your device.

How does deposit and balance tracking work?

When you create or edit an order, you can record a deposit separately from the full balance. Mudita tracks what's been received and what's still pending โ€” surfaced clearly on the order detail, order list, and dashboard. No more mental math on who still owes you.

Can I add delivery fees, rush charges, or other extras?

Yes. Every order has an extras field you can use for anything โ€” delivery, rush fees, special packaging, or anything outside your standard menu pricing. Extras are automatically included in the order total.

How do I update order status quickly?

Swipe an order row in the order list to progress its status โ€” Received โ†’ In Progress โ†’ Completed โ†’ Delivered. No need to open the full order detail. You can also swipe to update payment status directly from the list.

Can I plan and view upcoming orders?

Yes. The Upcoming Orders view lets you filter by orders due today, in the next 3 days, or the next 7 days โ€” so you always know what's on your plate before the week gets away from you.

Can I apply discounts to orders?

Yes. Orders support both discounts and extras. Mudita automatically calculates the correct total: subtotal + extras โˆ’ discounts. You can also add notes to any order for context.

How does weight-based pricing work?

When adding a menu item, you can set pricing by unit or by weight. For weight-based items, Mudita calculates order totals correctly based on the actual weight entered โ€” important for breads or custom cakes priced per gram or kilogram.

What categories does the menu support?

Menu items can be organized into categories: cakes, cookies, breads, pastries, desserts, and other. You can also add dietary labels and upload a photo for each item.

Can I export my menu?

Yes. Export your full menu as a PDF to share with customers, post in a group, or send via message โ€” great for weekly offerings or customer inquiries.

Does Mudita work offline?

Yes. Mudita is local-first โ€” your data lives on your device and the app works fully without an internet connection. Enable cloud sync if you want your data backed up or accessible across devices.

Is my data private?

Your data is scoped to your account and never shared. In local-only mode, your data never leaves your device. See our Privacy Policy for full details.

How do I delete my account and data?

You can delete your account in Settings inside the app โ€” this removes your account and all associated data. If you can't access the app, use our Account Deletion page.

How much does Mudita cost?

Mudita offers monthly and annual plans, plus a limited Early Adopter rate for new users. You can start with a free trial โ€” no commitment required. See all current options on the Pricing page.

Is there a free trial?

Yes. Download the app and start a free trial with no credit card required upfront. Full access to everything before you decide on a plan.

What is the Early Adopter plan?

The Early Adopter plan is a limited-time promotional rate for new users that locks in a discounted price for your first year. Once it's gone, it's gone โ€” it won't be offered again.
